A wonder in the Welsh Hills

This week I was out of Lancashire and off to the Welsh Hill's with 4 friends (+1 Pooch named Ripple) and man did we pick the perfect day for it. The sun was out but not too hot and the clouds were present in force to compliment the fantastic rolling landscapes. After a 2 hour drive I was just about ready to get out of the car and up into the hills....

Longridge Fell Microadventure

Morning campers! 

I'm excited this post out to you. This is February's instalment of my year of micro adventure challenge. The premise is to complete at least 1 microadventure per month, I'll explain more in another post. The location for this trip is Longridge Fell which is a small forrest area located just south the southern point of The Forrest of Bowland.  Once again the area far outstripped my expectations for what we would get. We arrived in the dark and when we woke up (to the sound of blasting at the local quarry, that will get your going) the place just blew me way.
